Messi has never been a red card with Barcelona, but twice for the national team

Lionel Messi was sent off for the second time in a career after clashing with Chilean defender Gary Medel at the end of the first half. Argentina are third in Copa America.

In the clash, Messi did not react strongly. Medel and Messi just hit the chest, but after many players came up against the VAR and Messi and Medel were refereeing Red card and fired both. The only red card in Messi's career was in 2005, when he played for the Argentine in the tournament. The friendly against Hungary, when Messi's side came to Vilmos Vanczak after just one minute of play.

Messi has never received a red card, even with Barcelona, compared to Sergio Ramos, who has the most cards. Red cards 25 and yellow cards of 210 cards.
