Big Three Chinese Smartphone Releases new feature similar Apple's AirDrop

China's three largest smartphone makers, Xiaomi OPPO and Vivo, are teaming up to create a new file-transfer method that enables all three smartphones. The brand transfers the files back and forth.


This method will use Bluetooth to connect the smartphone together and transfer files at a speed of 20 MB/s which can be deduced. Use Wi-Fi at Backend for file transfer similar to Apple's AirDrop system. Other companies may sign up to be allies of the three companies, Xiaomi said. A beta version of this functionality will be released by the end of August. The three companies accounted for 49% of the market in China in the second quarter. According to the latest data from Counterpoint Research, the number of users who have access to this feature may be quite large.
