Huawei had previously announced that it would launch the Mate X in September, after the first scheduled sale in June. But according to TechRadar, who joined Huawei's Shenzhen program, the flexible handset will be delayed for months. November.
The reason for this is unclear, but it may be that the company wants to allow more time to improve on Mate X. Huawei has tried to convert the phone's back from stainless steel to aluminum to reduce weight, but less aluminum, TechRadar said. It is tough to make a conversion to stainless.
Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Folder next month. However, Huawei will announce the Mate X later this year not to leak next year.
The next-generation Mate X may have additional screens on the back under the camera to add other functions, but the news is not clear yet.
